Beach Volleyball Alaska State Championships

(Anchorage, AK) August 9, 2008 at Springer Park in Anchorage, fufodabo will host the state championship doubles beach volleyball tournament. Teams will compete in a round-robin format with the top teams from each pool in the Men’s, Women’s or Coed divisions advancing to single elimination playoffs. Prizes will be awarded to the top two teams in each division. Cost is $20/team. Check-in is at 10 AM on the day of the event at the park. All ages and abilities are welcome and teams need not qualify to compete, but advance registration is recommended since participation is limited.

Presented by Mackowski and Associates Financial Planners, the events are held in cooperation with the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department, Midnight Sun Volleyball and USA Volleyball.

Where: Dimond H.S. main gym

When:
11th – 12th grade 9:00-11:30 a.m.

9th-10th grade 12:30p..m.-2:30 p.m.

6th-8th grade 3:00-5:00p.m.

Each player will learn: individual volleyball skills, team skills, conditioning, and
footwork.

Please bring: indoor shoes, t shirt, shorts or spandex, socks, knee pads, water bottle, running shoes, sweats, volleyball (if you have one) and a positive attitude!

Next Beach Volleyball touranment

The next fufodabo beach volleyball tournament will be at Springer Park, 3809 Arctic Blvd., in Anchorage on Saturday, July 19. Beginners and experienced players are invited to compete. The format is men’s and women’s doubles, pool play with single elimination play-offs. There will be prizes for first and second places in each division. Cost is $10/person. Check-in starts at 10 AM with play beginning at 10:30.
